Looking back with fondness
Adri blogged about one of those cute little questionnaires that the preschool teachers give our kids and have them tell our secrets on right around Mother's Day. Dallin was so sweet and said such nice things about his mommy.
It made me reminisce back to 2002.
It made me reminisce back to 2002.
I was a young pup, only 32 years old and had a 2 year old daughter and two sons ages 4 and 6. Maris traveled for work a lot, Tyler had started Kindergarten, and Parker was in preschool at the same elementary (I love Knowlton.) I was Tyler's room mom and I also subbed in the preschool occasionally, and I volunteered frequently in both classes.
I admit I was tired, but I did my best, and always tried to make sure that everyone was in bed by 7 or 7:30 so I could have some time to myself.
It is interesting to see myself through the eyes of my 4 year old son. This is the text of my Mother's Day 2002 All About My Mom, by Parker:
(I italicized and bolded the words that he inserted.)
My mom is 51 years old.
I love it when she makes cereal for me to eat.
When she isn't busy, she likes to rest.
My mom likes to be with her friends.
My mom's favorite TV show is Survivor.
My mom is funny when she hides from my sister.
I love my Mom!
Happy Mother's Day 2002!
That about sums up who I am.
