We are the Champions!!!

Aliza's volleyball team ended their regular season last week at the number one seeded team in the 5th grade division.  This week...they played in the tournament.

It was a nail biter from the get go...we had won our first game against the 6th seeded team quite easily, and had had over an hour to sit and wait for the next few teams to get weeded out.

So when our game against "Dig Deep" (a great team) got started, they were all jazzed up coming off a win and all warmed up.  Our first match was a little slow staring for us...and we lost.

And then we fell quickly behind in the second match.  In the tournament, each match only went to 15, so there was not alot of time to mess around.  The score quickly got to 9-14, for the other team.

Then something in us turned on, and we took the next 6 points to win it 15-14!!!

Tyler said, "I didn't think 5th grade volleyball could be this intense!!

The third match started and we never even let them really get in it...we quickly won 15-6!!

We had great coaches in Coach Joey and Coach Kent!!

7th grade football...District Champls

FOOTBALL season ended a couple of weeks ago, and Parker's team, the 7th grade RMS Green Team, was undefeated in District play...and the District champs!!

Parker was #45...he really loved playing in his first season on the middle school team!!

Let Basketball season begin!!

Both Parker and Tyler made the basketball teams at their schools this year!  Parker is on the 7th grade white team, and Tyler is on the PHS freshman team.

Parker's first game was on Thursday...in Sanger.  I didn't take my camera, but they won.

Tyler's first game was Saturday at PHS against Anna High School.  And it was a WIN for the Eagles of Prosper!

They played in the arena...and the pictures in the arena on my point n shoot quite frankly stink.

You get the idea, though!

My 11-month project

LAST Christmas, I gave my kiddos the best gift ever.  I told them I would paint their rooms.

I quickly got Aliza's room painted the cutest color of blue and got it all put together with her purple and lime green accessories.

Over the next month, I got the boys' rooms painted in their base colors...U of U gray for Parker and Cowboys Gray for Tyler. 

And Santa brought them some Fatheads for their newly painted rooms. 

And then Maris and I taped off the stripes and I started Parker's and realized that it was harder to paint stripes than I had originally thought it would be. 

Argh.

Sooooo....11 months after I started this project, this last week I FINALLY finished the stripes.

So without further ado, I present Parker's room:

Yay!

Remind me that I NEVER want to paint stripes on a wall again.  Ever.

The kids all love their rooms though, so I guess it was all worth it!!  :)
