Texas Survival Guide
In case you don't know what this is, it is a fire ant mound. It was not there yesterday. They are busy little things. They are not as red as I thought they would be. They aren't as big as I thought they would be. But when they bite you, it burns.
If you are a Texan, you have this in your garage. It isn't something you run out and get after you have a mound, you just have it there so you can get it when you have a mound. When you use the last of it, you put it on your shopping list and buy more. In the time it takes you to go to Lowe's and buy more, you could have 3 more mounds starting, or the existing one might resemble a small mountain.
After you sprinkle the granules on and around the mound, you s l o w l y pour water on it. We have trained our children in the fine art of fire ant mound destroying.
In a matter of minutes, the mound is gone, the ants are dying. Don't worry all you environmentalists who are worried about the dying fire ant population. There are more where that came from...they come out of nowhere...
