Wow, that's Wacky
One of the advantages (or not) of living in a small community with a small school district is that all 3 elementary schools and the middle school all feed into one High School (at least for now). So since it is Homecoming on Friday, and we live in Texas, all the schools celebrate. This is bigger than Halloween (which only gets a one day Sock Hop) and Christmas (which gets a one hour party that is technically called a "Winter Party.")
This week has been tiring long fun as we celebrated Spirit Week at Baker.
Monday was Pajama Day:
Tuesday was wear your favorite team jersey day:
(side note: Parker wore the ginormous METS jersey that Dan gave him when we visited in March. It goes almost to his ankles. I tried to talk him out of it, but Parker is going to be a great lawyer, debater or politician one day and just doesn't give up.)
They took Wednesday off because it was school picture day (so they called it "dress for success" day.) Today was Dress Wacky day:
Whatever.
Tomorrow the kids get out of school early (noon at the elementary and 1 at the MS) for the Homecoming Parade. The only other days we get out of school early are the day before Christmas Winter Break and the last day of school.
