Saturday is a special day...
The kids are doing a great job of doing their chores and the other things that I ask them to do around the house. This morning, they each cleaned and vacuumed their own rooms, cleaned their own bathrooms and then each vacuumed an extra area: Ty did the game room, Liza did the media room and Parker did the guest room and upstairs hall. We made snickerdoodles to take to our neighbor (her father passed away this week) and also to take to the ward Talent Show. Parker and Camille sang "Love is Spoken Here," and Liza and Rhegan sang "I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ." Parker and Camille just decided on their own at school this week that they were going to do it, and they did a great job, as did Aliza and Rhegan. I'm not sure where all this singing is coming from. Not me!
Parker "cleaning" the mirror.
Taking a break!
Liza made her bed and then put Claire Bear to rest on the pillows.
Parker found a garage sale in the neighborhood while he was out riding his bike, and came home with a report of all of the awesome stuff there. He bought two bean bag chairs for his bedroom. They were $3 a piece and one of them needs to be refilled. He feels like he got a great deal and is excited about his purchase.
After the talent show tonight, Parker, Tyler and Tristan caught some more geckos. Poor things. Now we have two more little baby ones and Tyler has a smallish medium one. This is after Parker accidentally smashed one of the frogs he caught this afternoon. He had six, but, gees, they all got away! (Except that poor unfortunate one that he smushed.) I sometimes feel like we live in Reptile World. At least he didn't bring a snake home from school like Maureen's son did!
