Driver's License...why is this so hard?
My big plan for today was to go to the Driver's License place and finally obtain a shiny new Texas driver's license. I figured that if Brittney got her kids taken away for not having a valid license for the state she lived in, *wink wink* I'd better get on that so I can keep my kids! It has taken alot for me to finally let go of my Utah DL and make the switch, but I was all mentally prepared to do it. I got on line this morning to make sure that I have all the info I need to do it, and it says that we have to register our cars in Texas before we can get DL's for Texas. And to register, you have to take it to get it inspected (which I just did in April) for safety and emissions, and then pay out the nose to register it. There is a title fee, and transfer fee, a paperwork fee and a registration fee. Then, to get my DL there are more fees. Forget it, I'll do it later! I've got a ton of other things to do today!
I almost forgot, last Sunday night, our ward had a special little meeting to recognize the kids who had earned their Faith in God awards in the last few months. Tyler had earned his so they asked him and the others who had received it, to get up and tell what their favorite part was. It takes 4 years to earn, and he worked hard on it on his own. He is such an independent and responsible little boy. I guess "little" isn't the right word. But to me he will always be little, even when he is 6' 3". We were very proud that he stuck with it and finished it!
