More Flags. More Fun. Six Flags.
Wow. Think Lagoon, only bigger, hotter, sweaty-er, and dirtier. (Not actual trash, but you know, dirt.)That's Six Flags.
More Flags. More Fun.
We got to meet Scooby Doo and Shaggy. Way better than Sleeping Beauty.
Tyler got a birthday hug from Bugs Bunny.
In line for our first ride, the sweating was only beginning.
Terry and Maris (or Taris, as we call them) were lucky enough to get to spend most of the day on the big rides with the big kids.
We brought along a girl and Aliza loved it! Amber was so much fun!
We finally got on...it was such a fun ride! It was like a luge. I loved it, but it was wayyyyyy too short for the amount of time we spent in line.
Lunch was, wow. Expensive. We got all three of the kid's entrance tickets for free, nada. So almost $10 for a burger and waffle fries was a shocker! We got free refillable cups for $14.99, (two to share) and when we got off one of the rides, someone had stolen my cup!!! Why would you want a cup that someone else had been drinking out of??? What if I had some horrid contagious disease? Yuck.
Lucy showing off her wicked skills.Hi, Parker!!!
The weather was actually quite good for August in Texas. We had passes that the kids had earned in reading and they had to be used by August 9th. So Maris took the day off, we gathered a few friends and headed off for a fun, full day at Six Flags. The kids had a total blast. There were more roller coasters than we had time to ride in a day. Aliza talked me into riding the Flashback with her, which wasn't too bad until it started moving. I absolutely refused to get on Mr. Freeze and the Texas Giant. My almost 39 year old body just cannot handle rides like they could when I was 17!! Give me the Jet Star and the Spider any day!! We made it home around 11 with sore feet and great memories!!

17 friends are talking:
Funny, I can't get that darn saying out of my mind..."Six Flags. More Flags. More Fun". And the visual of you saying it is even better! You know what's better than $10 hamburgers and expensive sub-par pizza? Coming home and throwing it all up! Those darn teacups!
um, the teacup spinning contest with Maris was YOUR idea.
Ya know somewhere around 24 I stopped being able to ride any of those crazy rides! I used to love them all! I feel old! Looks like you guys actually had a lot of fun!
Those fries were dang good! And the hamburger. And the giant ice cream cone. And the pizza. And the 6 diet Coke refills.... sigh.
I am sick just thinking about all that junk food.
look likes my fam wants to go on monday-- i think i'm sitting this one out-- too hot for me and i could just see me puking at some point :D glad y'all had fun!
Kyle was supposed to take the kids today with their reading passes, but even with that he thought it was going to be too much money, his ticket, parking, the food (and he didn't even know about 15 dollar drinks) - so he offered lake ray roberts to the kids and they took it! Glad you guys had fun though!
How fun! I love amusement parks! (I just got my Breaking dawn yesterday-I wish I could read it all day)

Jealous!!! I love theme parks. I married a roller coaster wuss, so alas I no longer frequent theme parks... Glad you could enjoy it, and happy birthday Tyler!
Hey, Leah has the same pink superwoman cape! YEA!
Okay, seriously, the last time Dan and I went to Six Flags a few months ago (without strollers and little ones) we had SOOOOOOO much fun. I guess it is easier when your kids are older. And we LOVE the roller coasters. Love em!
How fun!
neiner, neiner, neiner-- i convinced the fam to do Medievel Times instead-- so glad-- a much more enjoyable experience i'm sure :D
No more teacups for the McFarlands!
Hey, I'm bored. Let's go to Six Flags this week!
It just looks like it was such lovely fun!
And I am so impressed with Lucy's wicked skills!!
Looks like a fun day! Makes Lagoon look like a kiddie land!
(How do you post more than 4 pictures at a time on Picasa? Just wondering.)
Thanks for inviting me!
