Sometimes you gotta change the title of your post because you've got naughty friends

Last Friday was "Grandparents and Special Friends Day" at the elementary.

So I got to be my kids "Special Friend" and eat lunch with them.

This will be Parker's last year at the elementary school, so was the last time I get to share this day with him. Time goes by so fast, you blink and it's gone.

After lunch, Aliza's class did a Reader's Theater presentation for us. She is a great reader and it was so fun to watch.

And, for your viewing pleasure, click the play button below and watch part of the performance.

(this is the short video, I have another one that is longer but I won't subject you to it.)

When they were done, I checked them out of school early and let them come home early with me, an early start to our week off!

You are a special friend even if you are mom!!!
PS. I may just be a weirdo but I had to laugh reading the title to this post without any context, it sounded a little naughty...

I know I'm bad, feel free to delete my comment later

"I am one of [Jesus Christ's] witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears. But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God's Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way."--Bruce R. McConkie, "The Purifying Power of Gethsemane"

"...we must be careful, as we seek to become more and more godlike, that we do not become discouraged and lose hope. Becoming Christlike is a lifetime pursuit and very often involves growth and change that is slow, almost imperceptible. The scriptures record remarkable accounts of men whose lives changed dramatically, in an instant... But we must be cautious as we discuss these remarkable examples. Though they are real and powerful, they are the exception more than the rule. For every Paul, for every Enos, and for every King Lamoni, there are hundreds and thousands of people who find the process of repentance much more subtle, much more imperceptible. Day by day they move closer to the Lord, little realizing they are building a godlike life. They live quiet lives of goodness, service, and commitment. They are like the Lamanites, who the Lord said "were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and theyknew it not." (3 Ne. 9:20; italics added.)"--Ezra Taft Benson, "A Mighty Changeof Heart"
