We are the Champions!!!

Aliza's volleyball team ended their regular season last week at the number one seeded team in the 5th grade division.  This week...they played in the tournament.


It was a nail biter from the get go...we had won our first game against the 6th seeded team quite easily, and had had over an hour to sit and wait for the next few teams to get weeded out.

So when our game against "Dig Deep" (a great team) got started, they were all jazzed up coming off a win and all warmed up.  Our first match was a little slow staring for us...and we lost.

And then we fell quickly behind in the second match.  In the tournament, each match only went to 15, so there was not alot of time to mess around.  The score quickly got to 9-14, for the other team.


Then something in us turned on, and we took the next 6 points to win it 15-14!!!

Tyler said, "I didn't think 5th grade volleyball could be this intense!!


The third match started and we never even let them really get in it...we quickly won 15-6!!

We had great coaches in Coach Joey and Coach Kent!!

Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog. I had to click over and see how you are doing (I come over every so often to be nosy, ya know ☺) Glad to see your athletic kids are finding such success. That's awesome! As you can tell...I don't blog nearly as often as I used to. Life kind of gets in the way of art, I guess ;)

They came back and won after being down 9-14 - holy cow!! I bet the other team was kicking themselves for letting that one get away. How exciting. What a great way to end the season :)
