My Heart is Full...
I love this time of year...I love the colors and the smells and the feeling.
I also have a very hard time expressing feelings without being reduced to a babbling idiot. Some of you are so eloquent in the way you are able to put down what you are thankful for. Not me. But I'll try. As hard as it is to be away from our families, we are so grateful to be here in Texas. We know this is where we belong. Sometimes I find myself driving down the roads that are becoming more and more familiar to me and I am overcome with gratitude. I love my kids so much and am so in awe of them and how they are growing up and who they are becoming. I am so in love with Maris and so grateful that he works so hard for us. I love my ward family here (both of them, now.) I don't know how I would have made it without you all. How thankful I am for old friends that are always there and for new friends. Maris and I have such wonderful families and we miss you all so much. And I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it is the same no matter where we go. I am in awe of how our Heavenly Father knows each of us and sends us the blessings we need, and how he puts the people we need and who need us right where we need to be. We have so much to be grateful for.
We had a fantastic dinner with the Villas yesterday. Here is my photo essay of the day:
Yum, onions, celery and butter...fixin' to make the stuffing taste yummy!!
The aftermath of our meal...
The best part of the day, the dessert...8 pies in all...
From the back (below): pumpkin, apple, coconut cream, Razzleberry (thanks Marie Callendars!), chocolate (does this count as a real pie? it's chocolate pudding in a graham cracker crust), lemon meringue, banana cream and pecan. And Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla.
The missionaries stopped by and unfortunately the only picture I got of them was this one with them eating. Don't you hate it when people take your picture of you when you are eating?? I love these girls.
look for this here:

friends,
Gratitude,
Thanksgiving
