Not much happening...

Just thought I'd post some obligatory pictures of Christmas decorations. Here are some of my nutcrackers: And here is the tree:
Notice how the top of the tree leans...when we bought the tree, they had a bamboo pole holding the top of it straight up...how deceptive. I just feel a little bitter because we couldn't cut down our own tree this year. Actually, the fact that it is not perfect endears me to it just that much more. You need to read "Why Christmas Trees aren't Perfect."
Yesterday I took the van down to Sewell and a friend of Maris fixed my front heater!!! :) I am very happy...especially since we only had to pay the cost of the part! I forget that the defrost and heat doesn't work until it is cold and by then it is too late. I am just so grateful to have that fixed. I hate being cold.
Also yesterday was lunch bunch for RS at Ernesto's. What a yummy restaurant and how fun to visit with the girls from the ward. Y'all should come next month!
Tonight, pack meeting is going to be at Erwin Park...might be a little chilly. Tani and I are doing refreshments...we are roasting marshmallows and eating them on Fudge Stripe cookies...instant S'mores!

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you to look out for the bamboo poles that hold up the top of the Christmas trees. Just kidding. How crappy. Like you, I appreciate it's off centered, center of gravity. We'll call it asymetrical. How do you spell that? I should know that term for sure.

"I am one of [Jesus Christ's] witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears. But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God's Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way."--Bruce R. "...we must be careful, as we seek to become more and more godlike, that we do not become discouraged and lose hope. Becoming Christlike is a lifetime pursuit and very often involves growth and change that is slow, almost imperceptible. The scriptures record remarkable accounts of men whose lives changed dramatically, in an instant... But we must be cautious as we discuss these remarkable examples. Though they are real and powerful, they are the exception more than the rule. For every Paul, for every Enos, and for every King Lamoni, there are hundreds and thousands of people who find the process of repentance much more subtle, much more imperceptible. Day by day they move closer to the Lord, little realizing they are building a godlike life. They live quiet lives of goodness, service, and commitment. They are like the Lamanites, who the Lord said "were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and theyknew it not." (3 Ne. 9:20; italics added.)"--Ezra Taft Benson, "A Mighty Changeof Heart"
