What the?

I distinctly remember people telling me that it only snows here once every 2 or 3 years.
And as if this horrible cold subtance falling from the sky isn't bad enough, they shut down everything for it.
Yes, they released the kids from school at 1:30 this afternoon. We got the phone and email alerts to come and get them.
They called and said that the McKinney Community Center is closing at 3 today so there is no dance.
The man at the dry cleaners said he was getting ready to shut down and go home.
The Basketball League cancelled all the games for this evening.
I thought Texans were tough.
Not that I'm complaining, it makes me chuckle a little bit, and makes me thankful that I don't have to go out in it.
'Cuz I hate going out in it.

Right now everything is covered in white and the snowflakes are as big as cotton balls! You have to admit that is pretty:) I would say on average it snows or ices at least once every winter:)

At least once ... the past few winters it's been 2 or 3 times. Whoever told you that OBVIOUSLY wasn't a Texan. hahahaha. Just kidding. We haven't gotten snow like this since 4 years ago on Valentines Day ... my brother's wedding day. It was awesome.

"I am one of [Jesus Christ's] witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears. But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God's Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way."--Bruce R. McConkie, "The Purifying Power of Gethsemane"

"...we must be careful, as we seek to become more and more godlike, that we do not become discouraged and lose hope. Becoming Christlike is a lifetime pursuit and very often involves growth and change that is slow, almost imperceptible. The scriptures record remarkable accounts of men whose lives changed dramatically, in an instant... But we must be cautious as we discuss these remarkable examples. Though they are real and powerful, they are the exception more than the rule. For every Paul, for every Enos, and for every King Lamoni, there are hundreds and thousands of people who find the process of repentance much more subtle, much more imperceptible. Day by day they move closer to the Lord, little realizing they are building a godlike life. They live quiet lives of goodness, service, and commitment. They are like the Lamanites, who the Lord said "were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and theyknew it not." (3 Ne. 9:20; italics added.)"--Ezra Taft Benson, "A Mighty Changeof Heart"
